At Nimbus, we are dedicated to continuously improving our property intelligence platform to ensure it meets and exceeds your needs. We understand that staying ahead of the competition requires innovation and adaptability.
With this commitment in mind, we are thrilled to introduce a number of game-changing features that will transform the way you access and utilise property data.
Planning Alerts and Advanced Filters.
These powerful tools are no longer add-ons; they're now included as features in your Nimbus subscription, at no extra cost.
Here’s what you can expect to gain…
Planning Alerts: We’re always searching, even when you’re not.
Empower yourself with My Sites alerts, offering two invaluable functionalities:
- You’ll get alerts for planning applications directly related to your specific My Sites title, ensuring you're always informed about work on your properties.
- Receive instant updates for planning applications within a user-defined radius of your My Sites title. This helps you identify opportunities and potential issues impacting your property.
The Planning Search Alert feature means you’ll also receive alerts based on specific local authorities (up to 3), agents, applicants, or a combination of these. What’s more, you’ll be able to access your alerts conveniently in the Notification Centre. Allowing you to stay organised with unread notifications highlighted and dive deeper into notifications to view application details at the click of a button.
We’re keeping you better connected too, with daily or weekly summary emails that conveniently recap all your alert notifications. Making sure you stay informed and one step ahead – without having to do anything!
Advanced Filters: your first-class precision tools
We have a whopping eight new filters that enhance your property search capabilities.
These filters provide unparalleled specificity, helping you pinpoint properties that match your unique requirements.
Available filters include: Size of Commercial Space, Site Coverage, Ownership Category, Exclude Listed Buildings, Exclude Flood Zone, Exclude Green Belt, Exclude AONB, Exclude SSSI.
Thanks to these new product updates, even if you don't subscribe to the Advanced Filters pack, you'll still have access to them on your standard subscription.
New environmental constraints layer - Ramsar
For residential and commercial developers, knowing the location of wetlands protected under the Ramsar Convention is crucial. It can impact planning applications, even if the proposed development isn't within the Ramsar site.
Local planning authorities assess the potential effects on protected sites, considering factors like habitat loss and pollution increase. If significant impact is likely, approval won't be granted unless imperative reasons of overriding public interest exist.
The solution?
Within the Environmental Constraints section of Location Analysis, we've added a new layer showing the location of wetlands protected under the Ramsar Convention. Now, you can make informed decisions about potential developments while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Planning policy constraints - combined agricultural land classification layer
Residential and commercial developers, including renewable energy developers, need to assess the grade of agricultural land. High-grade agricultural land is protected from inappropriate or unsustainable development, which can affect planning permissions.
Previously, this data was split into separate layers for England and Wales, causing inconvenience for users working across both regions.
The solution?
We've combined these two layers into one, simplifying your access to agricultural land classification data. When toggling on Agricultural Classification, you'll now see data for both England and Wales together, streamlining your decision-making process.
